AdamsPlace is a premier senior living facility with a private and spacious campus that is home to an 89-apartment Residential Living Center, a several-apartment Assisted Living Center, a 23-apartment Memory Care Center, and a 90-bed Health Care Center offering skilled nursing and rehabilitation. The AdamsPlace Story
AdamsPlace was founded by Dr. Carl E. Adams, a physician and lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee. Dr. Adams and Jennie Mae Adams had a long-held dream of building a “campus concept” of lifecare facilities for older adults.
Their objective was to provide older adults with a beautiful, secure, and caring environment as they aged, free from the daily worries of cooking, cleaning, and caring for a home. Dr. Adams also hoped to provide a way for married couples to stay together, even if the health of one required a different degree of care.
“Nobody knows the quantity of their life. I don’t know how many days you have on Earth, nor does anyone else except God. What I’m most interested in is the quality of a person’s life while they are here. That’s the business I am in.” – Dr. Carl E. Adams
AdamsPlace strives to make every moment count for residents and patients to celebrate life at all stages.
The AdamsPlace Promise
AdamsPlace is dedicated to offering residents and patients the independence they want with the support they need. In fact, all of NHC partners prepare for their workday by reciting one of the 20 AdamsPlace promises each morning. AdamsPlace provides the best rehabilitative and clinical services based on the activity and care needs of each resident and patient.
Short Term or Home
Residents and patients come to AdamsPlace for a variety of reasons. Many are short-term, having left a hospital needing skilled nursing and/or rehabilitative care to get them back home. Other residents choose AdamsPlace as their new home for residential independent living, assisted living care, or memory care.
The AdamsPlace Lifestyle
At AdamsPlace, residents enjoy a wide variety of activities available on lovely campus, such as Music & Memory, which can be remarkably beneficial for those with cognitive and physical challenges.
The Activities Department provides a variety of worthwhile experiences for residents by offering innovative programs and therapeutic activities, which not only add years to life, but also add life to years. These activities are planned to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of all residents, while also providing an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment.
Church groups host services, singing, and Bible studies throughout the week, and on Sunday. Residents are also encouraged to maintain communication and involvement with their local church and religious groups.
