Admission Process
Call our Intake Department at 573-302-0319, 24/7. An Intake Coordinator will gather your information and discuss the treatment needs of the patient along with current bed availability.
Center for Behavioral Health treats ages 18 and older. After speaking with our Intake Coordinator you will need to fax or email:
- Face Sheet with Patient demographics
- History and Physical
- Required Labs and results: CMP, CBC,HCG for females, TSH, UA, UDS and EKG
- List of current medications
- Current mental health symptoms
Once the information is received and reviewed, the Coordinator and our Psychiatric Provider will determine if the needs of the patient can be met at our facility. Usually within 30 to 60 minutes of receiving information.
Center for Behavioral Health coordinates with voluntary and involuntary admissions with an average length of stay of 7-10 days. We are a free standing Acute Psychiatric hospital so patients MUST be medically cleared for admission.

Center for Behavioral Health is in-network with most commercial insurance plans and is a preferred provider for Tricare. Medicare and Medicaid are also welcomed for adults 18 and older. For questions about a specific plan, call 573-302-0319 and speak with our Intake Coordinators.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long will I be there?
A. Our average length of stay is 7-10 days. Within this time you will see a psychiatric provider who will do an evaluation and determine the best treatment based on their diagnosis with medication management. Group therapy will be offered and strongly encouraged to learn effective coping skills as part of treatment.
Q. Do we get visitations?
A. Currently visiting hours are not offered. Instead, additional phone time is offered during those scheduled times!

A. Center for Behavioral Health is located at 840 Passover Road, Osage Beach, MO 65065. Conveniently located off Hwy 54 next to NHC Nursing Home.
Q. Are you a non-smoking facility?
A. Yes
Q. What can I bring with me upon admission or have family drop off?
A. We allow 3 changes of clothing, no strings in hoodies, pants, or shorts. For females, bras must be wire free so we like to suggest bringing sports bras. Slippers are welcomed, tennis shoes are not due to the laces. Toiletries are offered here for each individual. Cellphones are not allowed, so we encourage a phone list to be made with important contact numbers for phone times. See something not listed?
