As May blooms with vibrant colors and warmer days, we’re excited to share the latest updates and highlights with you. From celebrating Mother’s Day to embracing the spirit of spring, there’s plenty to look forward to in this month’s newsletter. We are very excited for the month of May! There is so much to celebrate, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day are just some of the celebrations we are going to have. But of course there is so much more to look forward to. We will start off the month of May with Live Entertainment by Timothy on Wednesday, May 1st at 2:30pm. Cinco De Mayo Themed Happy Hour will be on Friday, May 3rd at 2:00pm. On Wednesday, May 8th at 10:30am in the Rehab Lobby we will enjoy Musical Production ” The Gingerbread Man” brought to us by Children from St. John Neumann School, later that day at 2:30pm in the Healthcare dining room we will have Spring Concert with The O’connor Singing Seniors. Mother’s Day Tea Party will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 2:30pm in the Soda Fountain Room. On Monday, May 13th in the Courtyard we will have “Creature Features” an entertaining and educational animal encounters with animals such as: Baby Wallaby, Prairie Dog, Patagonian Cavy and so much more. Our shopping trip to Publix will be on Wednesday, May15th at 10:30am, later that afternoon at 2:30pm in the Rehab Lobby we will have Elvis Tribute Spectacular with Buddy Kidd. You definitely don’t want to miss this show as Buddy puts his heart and soul into his performance. On Wednesday, May 22nd at 10:30am we will go out for lunch at Chesapeake’s, in the afternoon at 2:30pm Mitch and John will be here to put on a great live musical entertainment known as “At The Jukebox”. On Friday, May 24 at 3:00pm Al Mahan will deliver a wonderful musical performance. So many of our residents requested for Al to come back so please do not miss his performance, he truly is great! Memorial Day Celebration will take place on Monday, May 27 at 2:00pm in the Courtyard ( weather permitting). Finally, Our Monthly Birthday Party Celebration will be on Tuesday, May 28th at 2:30 in the Soda Fountain. We hope you will enjoy our Special Events and come to enjoy them all!!

As Nurses Week approaches, please take a chance to thank our team of nurses who tirelessly care for our patients. From their unwavering dedication to their compassionate hearts, nurses truly embody the essence of heroism every day. Join us in honoring these remarkable individuals as we extend our sincerest thanks for their invaluable contributions to healthcare and our lives. May 6th – 12th is National Nurses Week. To all of our amazing nurses we would like to say THANK YOU for your exceptional care and dedication, and for putting so much heart into everything you do. You are amazing! May 8th is National Receptionist Day. We would like to take this opportunity and thank Linda, our awesome receptionist for being so welcoming, helpful, easy to talk to, great at multitasking and always willing to help. Thank you Linda for all that you do! We also would like to Thank Gail Abbott, daughter of one of our residents. Gail has been supplying food and disserts for our residents during Happy Hour on Fridays for a very long time. Gail thank you for your generosity and for your genuine care. Gail has made so many personal connections with our residents and partners. Gail, your kindness, generosity and compassion makes a world of difference to us all.
