Senior Care Changes as Health Care Improves

The Tennessean has published an op-ed by Gerald Coggin, Senior Vice President, Ancillary Services & Corporate Relations, focusing on how the United States’ changing healthcare industry is affecting how – and to whom – NHC provides what has traditionally been called “senior care.”

Gerald Coggin has been employed by NHC since 1973. He served as both a health care center administrator and Regional Vice President before being appointed Senior Vice President in 2004. He received a B.A. degree from Lipscomb University and an M.P.H. degree from the University of Tennessee. Mr. Coggin is responsible for the Company’s rehabilitation, managed care, hospice, legislative activities, investor and public relations. Currently he serves on the Boards of MidSouth Bank in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Lipscomb University in Nashville, the American Heart Association and Leadership Middle Tennessee.
