NHC Opens New Center
NHC Place at the Trace offers Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Care
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – National HealthCare Corporation (NYSE MKT: NHC) has opened a new assisted living and skilled nursing center in the Bellevue area of Nashville that expands its services in Davidson County.
A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting was held Wednesday, June 8, at the new center located on Highway 100 in Nashville. Dignitaries such as Speaker of the House Beth Harwell; Matt Wiltshire, director of the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development; Representative Bo Mitchell; and President of the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce, Jad Duncan, joined NHC Chairman Robert Adams and President Steve Flatt at the event.
The new center, called NHC Place at the Trace, represents a $38 million investment by NHC that will create more than 160 jobs. The center includes an assisted living center, memory care and a multi-specialty health center on a single campus.
NHC Place at the Trace is a three-story center totaling more than 135,000 sq. feet. It includes 170 beds, 90 of which are skilled nursing with the remaining 80 for
assisted living. Twenty of the assisted living beds are reserved for memory care patients, in a special part of the center called WayPoint, referencing the waypoints that were gathering places along the original Natchez Trace. Flatt said this reflects the growing need in the community for assisted living services that focus on patients with memory issues.
In making the announcement, Flatt pointed to the expanding need for quality senior care across the continuum of health care services. “Nashville and Middle Tennessee continue to experience exceptional growth,” he stated. “With that growth comes the need for broader health care services for our senior population, including rehabilitation services and assisted living. We designed NHC Place at The Trace to provide those services with the high level of quality care and innovative services for which NHC is well known. We look forward to expanding our presence and the delivery of our care in this part of Nashville.”
In addition to NHC Place at the Trace, NHC operates ten affiliated centers in the greater Nashville area. View as PDF
