Lakeshore Heartland Acquired by NHC

National Healthcare Corporation  acquired the Lakeshore Heartland skilled nursing facility from Lakeshore Estates, Inc on May 1^st, 2023.   The 66- bed facility is in the Donelson community of Nashville, Tennessee.  Lakeshore Estates, Inc partnered with NHC in 2017 to manage the day-to-day operations of Lakeshore Heartland.

 

“We unexpectedly faced financial challenges of operating the Heartland nursing facility during the extreme problems of the COVID pandemic, increased acuity level of patients, and burdensome Governmental regulation,” said Blake Brock, Chairman. “This challenge of financially being able to continue to operate Heartland skilled nursing facility forced the Board of Directors to start exploring new options. Our partnership with NHC makes this transition easier for our patients and families at Lakeshore Heartland.”
