Farragut Healthcare March Activity Calendar

Dear Families,

As we step into March, we are greeted by the promise of spring and the joy of longer days. With Daylight Savings Time just around the corner, we will soon enjoy more daylight in our evenings, giving us extra time to spend with loved ones and engage in outdoor activities.

Special Events: Happy March! Spring is coming! March 1st is National Share a Smile Day so let’s start this month with a smile! We are hosting an evening program on March 3rd at 5:30pm with our lovely volunteer, Rebecca. She will be playing piano and singing for us. March 4th is Mardi Gras, and we are having a King Cake Social at 2:00pm. We are starting a Community Service Project on March 5th, and we will be making candles at 2:30pm in the Assisted Living Soda Fountain. We will have live music with Mitch and John: At the Jukebox on March 6th at 2:30pm. March 9th is Daylight Saving Time, and we spring forward! Don’t forget to set your clocks. Continuing our work on the Community Service Project, we are doing Operation Christmas Child at 1:30pm on March 11th, and this will be in the Assisted Living Soda Fountain. We are going to have live music with Paul Indelicato on March 12th at 2:00pm. He is awesome, and we are excited to see what he plays for us! On March 13th, we are going to keep our Baking Club going by making Shamrock Pretzels at 2:00pm. We have a new group this month, and we are having an Interactive Rhythm Band! This will require seven to eight residents to assist with playing instruments. It should be a blast! This will be on March 17th at 2:00pm. This day is also St. Patrick’s Day so wear your green! We have our Monthly Resident Council Meeting on March 18th at 2:00pm. This is an opportunity for our residents and patients to express concerns, suggestions, and compliments. The official First Day of Spring is March 20th. We are baking again on March 24th at 10:00am – we are making Fruit Pizza! Yum! We are in the home stretch for warmer weather! We want to have a monthly birthday party for our friends with March birthdays on March 26th at 2:00pm. We will have mini cupcakes, punch, and we will sing Happy Birthday of course. March 27th is National Cheese Day, and we are hosting a Cheese Tasting at 2:00pm that afternoon. If any family or friends have suggestions, please let our Life Enrichment Team know. Our Chaplain continues to lead his Worship Service every Tuesday at 3:30pm and Sunday at 10:30am in the Assisted Living Dining Room. He is also available for in-room visitation. Micki and Maria will continue to lead their Joy of Jesus Devotional every Tuesday morning at 10:30am. Catholic Communion is available for anyone that is interested. Please let a staff member know if we can help. Be on the lookout for flyers around the facility addressing additional groups, scheduling changes, spontaneous events, and more! We hope to see you there!
