Spring seems to have made its arrival, and it has most definitely been a welcoming sight to see. With blooming trees and plants, this season also births a fresh perspective on our days. We wish you a happy start to this season as we spring into brighter days.
Happy Easter
Happy Easter from all of us at NHC. We wish you a wonderful holiday. Whether you are spending time with family eating a nice meal, hunting eggs, or reflecting on the holiday, all are eggs-cellent ways to spend the day!
Special Events: Happy April! April 1st is April Fool’s Day so be on the lookout for any pranksters. All jokes aside – this month is going to be awesome! The Ohana Ukuleleans are hosting a Live Western Music Show on April 2nd at 2:30pm in the rehab lobby. You do not want to miss this! We have live music by Al Mahan on April 7th at 3:00pm. He puts on a wonderful show, and we are excited to have him back with us. We are having a Sweet Treat Social on April 10th at 2:00pm. This is an opportunity to meet new friends while indulging in that sweet tooth. We have live music with Paul Indelicato on April 15th at 2:30pm! He is awesome, and we are excited to see what he plays for us! April 16th is National Orchid Day, so we are having an Orchid Painting group at 2:00pm in the rehab lobby. Jokes and Cokes will get you laughing on April 17th at 2:00pm. Bring a joke to share with the group! April 18th is Good Friday and April 20th is Easter. Pastor Mark Moreland will be hosting an Easter Service at 3:00pm in the rehab lobby. Please gather with your friends and family to enjoy. April 22nd is Earth Day! Love our planet! We have our Monthly Resident Council Meeting on April 22nd at 2:00pm. This is an opportunity for our residents and patients to express concerns, suggestions, and compliments. We are making bracelets on April 23rd at 2:00pm. We will have springtime colors and Easter beads. We want to have a monthly birthday party for our friends with April birthdays on April 29th at 2:00pm. We will have mini cupcakes, punch, and we will sing Happy Birthday of course! We are finishing up the month with our lovely friend and volunteer, Kimberly Way. She is doing Crafting Hour at 2:00pm, and she is the best! If any family or friends have suggestions, please let our Life Enrichment Team know. Our Chaplain continues to lead his Worship Service every Tuesday at 3:30pm and Sunday at 10:30am in the Assisted Living Dining Room. He is also available for in-room visitation. Micki and Maria will continue to lead their Joy of Jesus Devotional every Tuesday morning at 10:30am. Catholic Communion is available for anyone that is interested. Please let a staff member know if we can help. Be on the lookout for flyers around the facility addressing additional groups, scheduling changes, spontaneous events, and more! We hope to see you there!
Announcements for Families: Family and friends are always welcome in our activities, and we encourage you to join in on the fun with your loved one. Our program is designed to stimulate and support your highest social, physical, and emotional functional levels while completing your therapy. Please contact Emily Hatch or Sara Bell at ext. 518 if you have any questions!
Special Thanks: We want to give a huge shout-out to our coworker, Meghan Surgenor!! She is now the Life Enrichment Director of Cavette Hill Memory Care. She is awesome! She oversees the Alzheimer’s Tennessee fundraising for our facility, and she has already made such an impact! We encourage you to join our team, Cavette Hill Memory Keepers, and walk with us on April 12th at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! This is a great opportunity to raise awareness to find a cure! Thank you, Meghan, for the difference you make and all you do!!
