As we approach flu season, getting a flu shot is one of the best ways to protect your loved ones and yourself. Center News: September is going to be the month to remember! National Assisted Living Week runs from Sept. 9th to the 13th. This years theme is Inspiring Generations. Well, we twisted the theme just a bit and came up with people through history that have and continue to inspire generations. I will get into more details as I highlight September’s special events. On Monday, Labor Day, at 3:00pm we will make the most delicious Ice Cream Sundaes. On Tuesday, 9/3 at 2:30pm we will enjoy Sing-A-Long Concert featuring Mitch and John, playing all your Jukebox favorites. On Thursday 9/5 at 1:30pm we will have Jewelry making with Patsy. on Monday 9/9 we will kick off National Assisted Living Week with Resident Spotlight and an advice from a Senior to a Senior. We will create a big poster full of great advises and deliver it to Farragut Highschool seniors. Also, on Monday we will have a double winning BINGO at 2:00pm on Tuesday 9/10 at 10:30am we will present Steve Irwin story. At 2:00pm we will show Funny Animals Videos and Finally at 3:30pm we will experience hands on educational animal encounters with “Creature Feature” You will meet animals such as: Arctic Fox Kit, Patagonia Cavy, Baby Wallaby, Collared Peccary, and more. Wednesday 9/11 is a Patriot Day. “We will Never Forget”. At 8:46 we will lower our flag to Half-Staff Later that day at 2:30pm we will enjoy Live Gospel and Patriotic music with Cliff Adkins. On Thursday 9/12 the King of Rock and Roll will make an appearance at 2:30pm. We will have banana pudding social and Elvis Presley Performance by Buddy Kidd, followed by meet and greet with photos! On Friday 9/12 at 10:30am Kimberly, from Caris, will be serving delicious smoothies. At 2:30pm we will enjoy Western Themed Happy Hour and listen to Dolly Parton who continues to inspire generations. On Wednesday 9/18 is out out-trip to lunch at Chesapeakes, and at 3:00pm we are going to enjoy “Oldies but Goodies” with Ohama Ukeleleans. On Thursday 9/19 we are going to make Greeting Cards with Renita. On Tuesday 9/24 at 2:00pm We will Celebrate September Birthdays. On Wednesday 9/25 at 2:30pm Timothy will sing for us (some people say, he sounds like Frank Sinatra). I guess you just have to come and see. Our September activity calendar is full of awesome activities so please look at the calendar daily. There is something for everyone.
Announcements for Families: Our Family Fun Night with Bean Auction was so much fun! We would like to thank you for coming and for sharing the best disserts ever! We will have another Family Fun Night closer to the Holidays. If you have any suggestions or ideas for the next time please share them with us. We would love to hear from you.

NHC’s Game Day Kickoff Buffalo Chicken Dip
Get ready to cheer on your favorite team with NHC’s Game Day Kickoff Buffalo Chicken Dip! Quick to make and packed with flavor, it’s perfect for enjoying the game with family and friends.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional: Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cream cheese, Buffalo sauce, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and half of the shredded cheeses.
- Spread and Top: Spread the mixture into an oven-safe dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbly.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired, and serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.
