NHC opens Sumner lifestyle concept senior care campus

It’s taken a decade to get the doors open to NHC Place, Sumner, a new assisted living and skilled nursing
center in Gallatin.

But as residents begin to move into studio and one-bedroom apartments and the rehabilitation center takes its
first patients, National HealthCare Corporation is looking to replicate the 135,000-square foot building in three
regional projects.

NHC Place, Sumner, with its 172 beds, is the “prototype” for projects in Bellevue, Hermitage and Maury County, said Gerald Coggins, senior vice president of corporate relations at NHC.
