NHC, Maury Regional team up for new skilled-nursing facility

National Healthcare Corporation and Maury Regional Medical Center are teaming up on a new, 112-bed skilled nursing facility in Columbia, Tenn. The project, estimated at $18 million, won Certificate of Need approval from the state last month, and adds to the growing list of Middle Tennessee facilities Murfreesboro-based NHC has slated to open over the next few years. It’s also the first time that NHC will partner with a hospital to jointly own and operate a long-term care facility, a model the company anticipates replicating.
