Happy Thanksgiving from NHC
Special Events: Shopping Spree Thursday November 14th @ 2:00-3:30pm. Residents spend their earned points to shop. Thanksgiving Social, games, food, drinks, music on Wednesday November 20th @ 2:00pm-3:30pm.
Announcements for Families: Anyone available to help residents shop at the shopping spree on November 14th would be greatly appreciated. We need help pushing residents and helping them spend their points. Any donations are also welcome and appreciated. Also, families and friends are always welcome to join activities with their loved ones.
Special Thanks: Thank you Holcomb Sunshine Club for hosting the Sunshine Dance in October. Thank you First Christian Church for helping with activities and church. Thank you Legacy Hospice, VNA Hospice for helping with activities through the month. Thank you Alex Palmer for having Bible study once a month.

NHC Spiced Apple Cider Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 cups apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole cloves
- 4 whole allspice berries
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions:
- In a large pot, combine the apple cider, cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice berries, and orange slices.
- If you prefer a sweeter cider, add the brown sugar.
- Stir in the ground nutmeg and ground ginger.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Strain the cider to remove the spices and orange slices.
- Serve the spiced apple cider warm and enjoy!
