Financial Planning
NHC understands the many factors and challenges – physical, financial, and emotional – that need to be considered when taking the next step in senior living. That’s why we offer counselors at every center to walk families through all the options available. We will work with you to look at Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care insurance, veteran’s benefits, and other options to find what makes the most sense for your particular situation.
NHC participates in Medicare and most major insurance companies. As a convenience to our patients, NHC will bill insurance carriers directly for patient services. Participation in specific Networks and/or Plans may vary by NHC Center.
Medicare Part A pays up to 100 days in a skilled nursing facility after a 3-day qualifying stay in a hospital if daily skilled nursing treatment or therapy treatments are required. Medicare pays the first 20 days at 100%. Starting on day 21, Medicare will pay after the daily co-payment amount is made. This co-payment amount can be paid by a Medicare supplemental insurance or privately.
